Import and export voxel files
Sugrvoxel imports images and OBJ, PLY, STL, GLB, USD, and USDZ meshes and turns them into editable voxels. It exports photos, GIF, PNG sequences, MP4, OBJ, PLY, STL, GLB, STEP, and its own .sugr project.
What can Sugrvoxel import?
- Images
- Turn a picture into editable voxels.
- OBJ
- Voxelize an OBJ mesh so you can keep editing it as blocks.
- PLY
- Voxelize a PLY mesh.
- STL
- Voxelize an STL mesh.
- GLB
- Voxelize a GLB mesh.
- USD and USDZ
- Voxelize a USD or USDZ mesh.
- .sugr
- Open a Sugrvoxel project, including works already in your library.
What can Sugrvoxel export?
- Photo
- Save the current, front, top, or right view to the photo library.
- GIF
- Export a frame animation as a GIF.
- PNG sequence
- Export animation frames as PNG images.
- MP4
- Export a frame animation as video.
- OBJ
- Export a mesh. A colored OBJ is a ZIP with an .obj file and an .mtl file.
- PLY
- Export a PLY mesh.
- STL
- Export an STL mesh for 3D printing or CAD.
- GLB
- Export a GLB mesh for game engines and 3D viewers.
- STEP
- Export a faceted STEP solid.
- .sugr
- Save the editable Sugrvoxel project.
How does Sugrvoxel fit a desktop 3D pipeline?
Export OBJ, PLY, STL, GLB, or STEP and open that file in a modeling, game, or CAD tool. You can also bring an OBJ, PLY, STL, GLB, USD, or USDZ mesh back into Sugrvoxel and voxelize it.
